By car

The journey by car from St Louis to Topeka is relatively longer. You take the same road as from Kansas City, Interstate 70, except this time you have a 310 miles journey that takes around four and a half hours. Fortunately, it is one straight road from St Louis to Topeka; unfortunately, the journey can be tedious. You could stop off at the halfway point between the two cities to stretch your legs and maybe grab a bite to eat. The halfway point between Topeka and St Louis is Columbia.

By bus

You have two options for buses between St Louis and Topeka. The trusty Greyhound buses run this route twice per day. The journey will take around 7 hours without traffic, so wear some comfortable shoes and clothes. With traffic, this journey could turn into quite a mission. A toilet on board the bus makes traveling quite easier as there is no need to stop. We recommend you bring something to eat and drink with you for your journey. 

By Train

The alternative to the standard four-wheel mode of transportation would be to jump on the River Runner train operated by Amtrak. By car

It is quite a long journey that measures 541 miles and takes around seven and a half hours without traffic, and this can increase substantially depending on the weather and traffic conditions. 

By bus

Greyhound buses are running routes all across the United States, and they are once again offering a reliable and affordable form of transportation from Denver to Topeka. If the idea of a seven-and-a-half-hour drive fills you with horror, you are not alone. In my opinion, taking the Greyhound bus is a much more comfortable form of transportation. You can fly from Denver (DEN) to Topeka (TOE), starting at around $40. Providing you do not have any needs for checked luggage makes it the most affordable option and the fastest. Direct flights between the two cities take around one and a half hours of flight time. Southwest, United, and Frontier regularly fly between Denver and Topeka.
